Death, Birth & Sharing This Wild Ride
Over the years, I’ve found myself really loving this time of year.
Of course, Spring is springing. Today everything in the little world of our garden is bright green, lush and outrageously sweet. The fragrance of the freshly-popped jasmine and the wide open, high five hands of the fig tree are enough to send this girl into delight.
But there’s something else to love about this season.
It’s the perfect time to let what is not coming forward with me die away.
To close chapters we may have carried for too long.
To release the things that bring us pain or take up space where something new is ready to grow.
Space for our authentic connection to ourselves.
Space for love.
Space for creativity, poetry and fun.
There are so few meaningful markers or rituals in this modern life. And yet this season still holds so much space for such things.
Whatever our beliefs are there is something in the Easter story that speaks to a universal experience. If we are truly living this complex human life, we have all encountered the cycle of death and rebirth, in ourselves, in our relationships, and in the many lives we live within one lifetime.
For some of us, rebirth seems to be a continual almost daily process. (I see you)
Sometimes the energy feels transcendent, like a phoenix rising from the ashes.
Sometimes it’s more like a tulip breaking quietly and slowly through frozen ground.
Sometimes it's simply paying attention, thought to thought, moment to moment, baby steps, learning to work our energy so that we can release what is not ours or does not serve and replenish more of ourselves. Each tiny step or moment, a rebirth as we learn to play our lives like an instrument in harmony.
Again and again we get to reclaim our life and begin from a new Spring of self, one that is lovable, valuable, and alive in a new way.
Perhaps this little seed will encourage a breath in you that recognizes how much you have grown. And maybe it will gently remind you to step outside and, with everything you have, seed what you want to create in the world within yourself.
Nurture what is new in you.
Give yourself love and fresh air. Listen to the birds. Release the parts of yourself that are ready to be buried, so that you can rise into a more expanded, loving, generous, expressed, healthy, happy, silly, poetic you, while you are indeed still alive.
Not all growth comes from action, lots of the biggest and most transformative growth comes from a willingness to turn inward, get quiet, and come home to yourself again and again. To learn how to sit in yourself. To work with yourself, to trust, to listen and to tend.
Here is a little Meditation to help you do just that:
Fellow Sprouts I am stretching out of my comfort zone and doing something I've wanted to do for a long time...creating consistent meditation and art inspiration video offerings! If you've ever made anything, you know that there is the making part of the process and then there is the sharing part! Both have their challenges but the sharing part can be a big challenge especially because attention spans are a hot commodity. I would be beyond delighted if you will meditate with me and "Like, Follow, Subscribe and Share." Your support in this way creates a space where you are really a part of this journey! Also let me know in the comments how it goes and if you have any Meditation requests!
Last weekend I gave an impromptu art talk at Dorado, and it was incredible to speak so openly about my process, my energy work, and what the energy paintings represent in my expression.
In sharing, I saw so many hearts and minds open up. I met wonderful artists and new friends. And because it was unexpected, I felt loose and playful and a little silly, which, to me, feels like a new level of mastery.
Sometimes the most alive moments happen when we simply say yes and share what we love.
This, too, is a seed.
Below are some New Seed Sections, what I'm loving and what is supportive in this garden at this time!

Tears of joy ran down my cheeks listening to Joshua Idehen’s new album I Know You're Hurting. It feels so good to hear and move to radical music calling us forward and connecting us to our humanity. He is a force!!!
Thank Gong for all the artists standing firmly in love, and especially grateful for Joshua in this moment. Enjoy!https://open.spotify.com/search/I%20Know%20Your%20Hurting%20Joshua%20Idehen
Seed Reflections
You might take a moment to sit with these:
• What in your life is ready to be lovingly released to set you free?
• What small new beginning is quietly asking for space?
• What would it feel like to nurture that new seed without rushing it?
Sometimes transformation isn’t a dramatic moment.
Sometimes it’s just a seed
and the willingness to care for it.
But who am I kidding... is there anything more dramatic than a seed?
I went for a hike with a very funny friend recently who had just learned that trees grow from seeds! Her expression of pure amazement was beyond delightful.
As we walked, we kept pointing at the huge trees around us saying,
“I mean… that came from a seed!!! And that came from a seed!!! Wow… just wow.”

It is written by my hands and brain, so forgive me, sometimes it will be filled with human mistakes. The only AI I use is to help with spelling and format, because I am not so good at the spelling and I am pretty dang dyslexic but I'm here writing my heart anyway :)
I plan to send this to you twice a month depending on the weather.
Love to see you stay, but feel free to go!
