Love and Time

This Is A seed for Everything.

Less promo more slowmo with me.

this is a seed, you are a seed, I am a seed.

The greatest gifts I can give myself, and the ones I see so many of us struggling with, are love and time.
Time to be friendly with myself.
Time to rest, to make things, time to play in and feel the fullness of life.
Time to laugh and to work, and see dreams into the world, not out of guilt, fear or obligation, but out of a wild love affair with becoming who we actually are.

Time to be with ourselves. And be at peace with our own timing.
To turn the volume down on the outside world when possible.
To let confusion soften, fear loosen its grip, and authenticity rule the day.

Embodying the soft yet wildly powerful, intuitive, creative, connected self, is the prize. This is the fortune.

Getting to be who we really are is a lottery win most of us weren’t told we could ever claim.

It’s wild, rare, and often hard won. It’s what keeps me choosing myself again and again and what keeps nudging me, sometimes clumsily, to open the door for others, too.

I believe it matters to claim our consciousness.
To respond to our unique creative energy asking to express through each of us.

And still, believing and doing are two very different dances.
The actual doing can be awkward. Vulnerable. Hard, and Painful.

But keep growing, keep going brave heart!

Every step along my path has been hard earned, and I know that’s true for many of you, too. Being different looks different for everyone, but underneath it all, most of us want the same things: to feel safe, to be free to explore and connect, to be seen and loved for who we are, and to feel healthy and expressed and feel like we have purpose while we’re here on earth.

It's easy to see, somewhere along the way, things get tangled for most of us messy humans.

We start thinking it’s our job to control everything, to be likable, acceptable, not as we truly are, but as the version of ourselves that once kept us safe. In families, friendships, jobs, on social platforms we learn how to shape-shift accordingly. We inherit beliefs, limitations, and fears from the people we depended on early in life and we wear these energies as our truth, our personality, our destiny.

When we can, we mold ourselves into something that will keep us fed, included, and if we are lucky, loved.

The trouble is, suppression has a voice.
Sometimes it sounds like anxiety or depression.
Sometimes it shows up in the body as mental or physical illness.
Sometimes it just feels like a low-grade hum of perpetual discontent.

The way back, in my experience, begins by getting back into relationship with ourselves over and over again. By taking radical responsibility, quieting, getting still, and learning how to notice energy instead of override. I walk this path personally, and I’ve watched many others find their way through the same brave work.

This kind of remembering takes time, commitment, and a surprising amount of kindness.
It doesn’t happen all at once. And your answers can not come from anyone outside of yourself. But you can get help creating the space you need to find your own answers. And there are simple energetic tools that help.
Bit by bit, it's possible to loosen what we once built for false safety, for real.

To let go… or let grow.
And underneath it all, we can rediscover the part of us that came here to play, to wonder, to stretch into the unknown, and to offer our own strange and beautiful way of being in this world.

Remembering we are energy changes how we live.
How we create.
How we meet one another.

How we love ourselves and others.

It begins with a small, slightly rebellious choice:
to listen and have a look at yourself.

What habits are ready to go? What feels safe but keeps you in pain? Where can you be more honest?

New in the studio this week: "Wild Ride" 14x12 Ink, oil, beeswax, gouache, acrylic on canvas.

What might shift if you gave yourself a little more time to be present with yourself? What might you finally give your attention to?

Take what you like. Compost the rest.

ps, I took instagram off my phone in December and I'm so happy I did! When was the last time you gave yourself a phone cleanse? I highly recommend!

This space is now a Newsletter space called This is a Seed for Everything! Here I will share art, meditations, energy tools, psychic stuff, and ideas for growth and peace.

It is written by my hands and brain, so forgive me, sometimes it will be filled with human mistakes. The only AI I use is to help with spelling and format, because I am not so good at the spelling and I am pretty dang dyslexic but I'm here writing my heart anyway:)

I plan to send this to you twice a month depending on the weather. Love to see you stay but feel free to go!

This Is A seed for Everything Happy Spring friends, Welcome back to This Is a Seed for Everything where thoughts, art and meditations are planted and where we take a moment to watch ourselves grow. From the Garden: This week the jasmine opened in our garden. The scent was so sweet it stopped me in my tracks and delivered a smile to my cheeks. And we found ourselves smiling saying "wow, Yummmmmmmm" Jasmine loves that kind of response. It loves a whole-hearted wow and yummmm from anyone who is...

This Is A seed for Everything. How do you Grow your Garden? New Work: Spring Blooming 24x36 Ink, oil pastel, gouache, beeswax, acrylic on canvas. Its all about those roots baby! The most overlooked part of love is receptivity. Meditation, energy work, and artistic expression are beautiful places to practice receiving. Receiving love from yourself, for yourself. Because if you can’t soften enough to receive love, you’re not only limiting your own life experience… you’re also denying the people...

This Is A seed for Everything. A little hello today and some questions to grow on! As Above so Below, and Vice Versa 23x30 Ink, oil pastel, gouache, beeswax, acrylic on watercolor paper. And On and On through space and time, we go and we grow. I have several new paintings in the studio this week, everything is a little messy with color on my hands over here.
